This is a Halloween game

It’s 31st of October in Iceland, when the sun is setting as early as 5 p.m. The fishing season is almost over, only selected few are still in the open seas, hunting the brown trout.Noah has been watching over the lighthouse on the southern archipelago for a little over a year now, taking over from his suddenly deceased distant father. As the storm is approaching their coastal town, today of all days it’s important that the ships come to the harbour on time. And yet Lodestar, a sizeable fishing boat, is still nowhere to be seen. What's even worse - the townspeople are convinced that there is more to this than meets the eye.

This is a passion project

Truly. As some of you might know September is the month of the annual Spooktober on itch.io - a thirty day long competition for visual novels.
When we found out about it, there was no question - we had to participate. But things tend to get complicated when you are under a tight deadline.
Filling our ranks, learning new applications, and taking sick leaves (thank you Dutch weather) - it was eating away the precious time. So we made a decision. Prolong the deadline and publish ourselves. Spooky game for a spooky day.

This is only the beginning

In the spirit of honesty, we must confess: this game is developed by amateurs for amateurs. It can feel overwhelming to try something new. Setting up a PC, buying a PlayStation - these are big steps. Even people who are as into gaming as we are can acknowledge, the entry barrier is not that low when it comes to playing videogames. And the same could be said about developing them.
So we want to have this conversation with you, eye to eye. Our game is like Sabrina Carpenter - short and sweet. You can play it on itch.io completely for free from your Windows.
Are you a homebody spending Halloween tucked under your blanket? This game is for you. Are you a busy bee, who doesn't have time to invest a hundred hours into one game? This game is for you. Are you an E-sports champion, whose cold and successful heart can only be melted by the charming underdogs (aka us)? This game is for you.
A visual novel is ultimately a dialogue, an experience. And this is exactly what we offer. Nothing more, nothing less.
